Career Transitioning- Chart A Path

Please join me on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at The Women’s Center in Vienna, VA for an engaging workshop for individuals who may be curently in transtion / in between jobs or whom are looking to make a change- whether it be to a different organization or trying something new. Bring your resumes with you. See below for specifics on registration via EventBrite.

Changing your direction (career) can be an overwhelming and sometimes scary experience. How do you navigate the possibility of a career change and make the decision? Do you know how to conduct an effective and productive job search in the current job market? In this workshop, we will look at making the assessment for change, setting realistic goals and expectations as well as other aspects of a job search. Items to consider are hidden talents to propel a change, interview tactics and creating a marketing plan as well as salary negotiation.

Presented by Lisa Colten, Founder and Managing Principal of Éxzeto! an HR, Leadership Development and Coaching Consultancy; Lisa is a versatile senior level Career Transition Coach/Consultant and Human Resources Leader with extensive experience identifying and solving complex organizational problems and issues. Her corporate experience includes HR leadership roles at Fortune 100 companies where she partnered with business leaders in multiple functions and business lines to drive and implement measurable change and achieve performance results.

Refund, Cancellation, No Show & Re-Scheduling Policy:

Participants who register for the workshop and do not attend or cancel their registration less than 24 hours prior to the start of the program, will not receive a refund.

Refunds (not including the processing fee) will be issued with 24 hour cancellation notice after the program has completed. Please submit your refund request for the event to: twcadmin@thewomenscenter.org

Participants who are not able to attend and have contacted the Women’s Center 24 hours prior to the workshop can re-schedule for the same workshop on another day, up to 6 months after the initial workshop date.

Full refunds will be issued for any program cancelled by The Women’s Center. If the program is rescheduled, we will offer to transfer the cost to the new date in lieu of a refund.

NOVA BENG-Business Executives Networking Group

I have been a guest speaker at the monthly NOVA BENG monthly meetings since 2014. Join me again on November 21, 2019 at the Oakton, Virginia Library when I’ll be sharing ideas for executives on the topic of using LinkedIn for effective Job Search Networking.

In the past, I have spoken at Women in Technology (WIT) meetings on various career transition topics and also had the pleasure of being a guest lecturer at an American University Kogod School of Business Leadership Development course.
